The Lords of the Seven Rays are called in the East the Seven "Chohans." The work of the soul—and it is indeed our work, must be fulfilled ere we are allowed to graduate (i.e., ascend) from earth's schoolroom. Yes, we can learn, and we would do well to take the opportunity, from the Lords of the Seven Rays, our mentors of the Spirit who lead us on the paths of righteousness for His name's sake—I AM THAT I AM—toward our soul's receptivity to the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
