Inner Union and Reinforcement Is the Key

It is absolutely essential that at inner levels and in the plane of the I AM THAT I AM and the Holy Christ Self—your soul reaching that plane by dynamic decree and meditation and service to life—that you are one with your twin flame and that you complete your reason for being on earth in this hour.

Hear my statements, for they apply to each and every one of you! Where it is not possible for you to contact that twin flame physically, it matters not. The inner union and the reinforcement is the key.

Where it is not possible, we assemble lifestreams who are soul mates or have a similar path and attainment, who have good karma together and who may serve as receptacles for the I AM Presence of the twin flames of themselves and each other, forming a cosmic cube in the earth.

Twin Flames Call

Thus, beloved, endeavors in the earth must have the presence of the wholeness of Alpha and Omega and the single call you make each day:

Lo, I AM Alpha and Omega of the twin flame
white fire bodies of myself and my beloved
manifest here in action!

the beginning and the ending
of our white fire sphere of wholeness!

To affirm here below, therefore, the oneness of yourself and twin flame will place upon you the mantle of these twin spheres of Light to accomplish the purposes to which you are set.

The Burden upon the Earth Body

We have been aware of the burden that has been upon the physical bodies of the lightbearers; and we would tell you that the burden comes from the enormous burden that is even now upon the elementals who serve as the gnomes at the physical plane–those who serve to keep the balance of the flow of cosmic forces in check.

The burden upon the earth body is intensified by the misuse of that body, by the bombarding of the nucleus of atoms in nuclear fission, by the release of energies peaceful for the maintenance of the flow of cosmic energy, by the misuse of these energies, by the absence of the necessary safeguards of the sacred fire to which mankind have not attained.

Mankind’s present level of attainment is not commensurate with the keeping of the flame of life at the levels of energies which they are releasing daily in the earth, through the earth, and at other levels in the plane of water and in the plane of the air.

We are concerned with the pollution of the body of the earth; we are concerned with the pollution of elemental life.

Where elemental life and the earth body itself have not been able to bear the toxins, the waste materials, the chemical by-products and the nuclear by-products, so the bodies of mankind have had to bear that weight, and mankind as a whole, and especially the light­bearers, walk with the cross on the via dolorosa.

They walk carrying that cross; and sometimes they fall beneath the weight of that cross as they bear it unknowingly, jointly with elemental life.

We are concerned with all pollution and the pollution of the seas and the air and the pollution of the food; and we see that there are times when the lightbearers can scarcely lift their bodies, so charged are they with the negative charge that results from the imbalance that is being placed upon the ecosystem of Terra.

The earth is suffering under a tremendous weight of darkness, plotting and profiteering, and the plundering of her soil,

Violet Flame Decrees Felt by Elementals

We applaud your efforts to give invocations and decrees for the ecology and the energy crises of Terra…the fruit results in the greater flow of light through your four lower bodies and your chakras because the magnificent orifices of being are in alignment in the many planes of consciousness in which you live, and thereby the light of the Sun can flow forth. This is true also when the physical body and the skeleton are in alignment and are in correct manifestation.

All of elemental life rejoice to receive even the crumbs from your table as drops of violet flame are felt by them as you give your invocations.

They are grateful for even the side effects of your invocations. They would be, I assure you, even more grateful if you were to give concentrated and direct calls for and on behalf of the gentle gnomes, the sylphs, the undines, and the salamanders. It would be very worth your while; for in this mighty action of release, you will find that your own burden is made light and that your cross can be borne on the path of victory and the way of joy, on the path of the light of the Buddha. You will find, then, the reestablishment of the flow of creativity as health and wealth; for these are the gifts of the Holy Spirit which the precious elementals bring to those who work with them, who serve with them, who are kind, compassionate, and understanding of their plight.

Wesak – Elementals are Buddhists by Nature

I look forward to saluting you on the day of the Wesak Festival*, when the Lord of the World ministers unto the needs of all of the evolutions of Terra, including elemental life. I invite you to be there in Shamballa and with the Lord of the World as he spreads the canopy of his consciousness over India, the place where the teachings of the Buddha were brought forth into manifestation. All of elemental life rejoices, for they bow before the Lord of the World as their God and as their Saviour. You might say that the elementals are Buddhists by nature and Christians by training!

In the light of Venus, in the light of the World Mother, in the light of Omega, in the light of Virgo, I anchor within your heart my love for Terra.

How to Become a Mystic

He also believed that there is a spark of the divine within each of us and that we can contact that God within. Even before it was fashionable, Mark was teaching spiritual seekers how to become mystics. The mystic believes that he can gain direct knowledge of God through subjective experience and intimate communion with the All in all.

Mark Loved the Mystical Paths of East and West

Raised in the Christian tradition, he later experimented with the teachings of the Eastern adepts and came to a deep appreciation of the unity of all the world’s religions.

The Hindu yogi, the Taoist sage, the Buddhist monk, the Christian mystic—he believed we could learn from them all, and he did. He was as happy meandering through the sublime passages of the Bhagavad Gita as he was reading about the lives of the Christian saints. And he was as comfortable meeting with the Dalai Lama as he was conversing with Mother Teresa of Calcutta.

He made a pilgrimage to India with sixty devotees to probe the mysteries of each one’s unique transcendental union with God. Though Mark had spiritual powers from childhood, he sat at the feet of gurus and holy men who practiced the secret traditions of Hinduism and Buddhism.

Teachings of the Ascended Masters

For more than twenty years Mark dedicated himself to teaching and publishing the wisdom of the Eastern and Western adepts. He walked with them through the pages of their writings until he became one with them. And in all of their teachings he detected the single golden thread that creates unity out of diversity: the realization that each of us can experience our own intimate relationship with God.

Practical Spirituality

Mark Prophet’s approach to spirituality is a practical one. He bases his lessons on universal spiritual laws but translates the nuances of the spirit into language we can all understand and immediately apply to our life’s journey. Teresa of Avila, a supremely practical mystic, once counseled the sisters of her order, “The Lord walks among the pots and pans.” There, she said, “is where love will be seen: not hidden in corners.”

Mark, too, has an uncanny way of portraying, as if in bas-relief, the opportunities for spirituality that we can chisel out of the seemingly ordinary circumstances of everyday life. For he believed that that’s where spirituality matters most and reveals its best face—in our daily life.

Perhaps most importantly, he shows us how refreshing it is to laugh at our own humanness—and how ennobling it can be to weave into our daily rhythms the wisdom of our highest self. As Mark would say, it’s okay to be human as long as you remember you’re divine.

What is Mark’s Secret?

What is Mark’s secret? It is his love for all people. Because, on contact, he was acquainted with their innermost being.

Mark had a magnanimous heart. He reached out to touch and heal all whom he met through the transfer of light from his heart to theirs. He read their hearts. He knew their pain. He gave comfort to the meek and wisdom to those who could hear it.

Let this mystic of mystics quietly enter your heart, take you by the hand and lead you to the secret chamber of your heart. He will open the door and reveal to you the eternal flame your Maker sealed in that chamber. And he will tell you that that flame is your flame of immortality that you must tend daily with your own special prayers.

Mark Prophet is a servant of God and of the God who lives within you. At the conclusion of his final sojourn on earth, he attained union with God and became one with the immortals. If you walk with him a mile or two, he will teach you and love you until the hour of your soul’s fulfillment.

John records for us the events of this day (Bible, John 12:1-19)

On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, took branches of palm trees and went forth to meet him and cried, Hosanna! Blessed is the king of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord!

Hosanna! Blessed is the king of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord!

Who is the king of Israel? The one who holds the key to the incarnation of God as Reality where you are. He comes in the name of the Mighty I AM Presence. He comes in the fullness of Sanat Kumara. Blessed is he that comes, this king of Israel—the one who holds the key to Christhood in all of the seed of Sanat Kumara. Therefore he is king, for only Christ is king.

Today we celebrate the victory of that Lord Our Righteousness—your beloved Christ Self, and mine, who holds the key to your incarnation, and mine, of the I AM Presence. And there is a key, and there is a mystery.

The key is given to us in the first and Great Commandment and in the second, which is a corollary to it. But the following of those commandments as Jesus taught requires the turning of the key of the heart in oneness with this Christ. Jesus gave the commandments, the Holy Spirit may preach to us, but nothing changes until we find the key for ourselves, take it, use it, turn it and embody those commandments as we embody Christ.

Do you understand the step from the teaching of the parable, to the mystery of the parable, to your incarnation of the Word? You do not know it when the parable is first given. You do not know it when the mystery is revealed. You only know it when you decide to assimilate it, when you yearn so much that you find the king of Israel. You find the king who is your Christ Self, and you find him by the way of Jesus—by his example, which is “the only Way.”

Do you see that it’s all in the doing and in the becoming? The doing and the becoming is the sign that you know, the sign that I know and that I AM the known in manifestation. This is when you are recognized as a disciple who can become an apostle of God.

They recognized him as king. Now they must enter the path of finding the king within. He would not stay with them long enough to receive the temporal crown, for that was not the point.

“All that I AM, you must become.” This is his Palm Sunday message. Now he enters the greatest drama of the ages and demonstrates the way of every soul’s victory. When he engages all of his strength to outpicture the events of the Passion Week, he will no longer teach by words but by example. You must observe what he does, and, by direct oneness with him (due to a prior love), you must become what he is. You must find the key, for he is the mystery of the incarnate Word.

Let us say together: Hosanna! Blessed is the king of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord! Hosanna! Blessed is the king of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord! Hosanna! Blessed is the king of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord! Hosanna! Blessed is the king of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord!

Now say it to your own Christ Self, beloved ones. Say it directly to the Son of God within you:

Hosanna! Blessed is the king of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord—my Mighty I AM Presence! Hosanna! Blessed is the king of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord—my Mighty I AM Presence! Hosanna! Blessed is the king of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord—my Mighty I AM Presence! Hosanna! Blessed is the king of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord—my Mighty I AM Presence!

This is a wonderful teaching because the king of Israel is the one who is king of all that is real about you. He is not king of unreality. He does not reign in the carnal mind or in the karmic condition or in the untransmuted substance. Christ in you is king of all that is real in you. And all that is real in you must enthrone him.

Hold this palm in your hand* as a means of transmitting to your Christ Self this praise and reception. It is an alchemy in your hand and you feel the love from your heart flow through your hand into this palm because it represents the joy and praise of your soul unto him. And upon that love Christ will enter your heart.

* Consecrated palms were distributed to the congregation and held by each devotee throughout the service.

A heart chakra meditation given by Djwal Kul in the chapter The Hidden Chamber of the Heart from The Human Aura: How to Activate and Energize Your Aura and Chakras

Through the week with the seven chohans of the rays is a way of life for Brothers of the Golden Robe, for Sisters of the Wisdom Flame, who come to receive the instruction that is given in the etheric retreat of the Tibetan Master.

For many centuries now, I have sponsored the tutoring of souls who have desired to enter in to a direct relationship with one or more masters of the hierarchy of the Great White Brotherhood.

We begin our course with meditations for self-purification. And for those who have for several lifetimes practiced the way of silence, I come to break the silence with a shout of acclamation, with that joyful noise that is the true fiat of the Word!

And thus the decrees of the devotees ring forth not as a murmuring or as a mumbling, but with the determined shout of warriors bold, of sons and daughters of God rejoicing in the fold!

And the fold is a new level of awareness where the chela meets the master face to face and the energies of meditation become the fullness of the expression of the Christ mind, the Christ heart, and the Christ soul.

You who would become the Christ, you who would kneel at his feet, be prepared then to roar as lions over the hillsides of the world—not as the devil seeking whom he may devour, but as king and queen, as lion and lioness going forth to claim dominion in the kingdom of God that is within.

If you would attain and retain the consciousness of the chohans, you must then be willing to exercise the throat chakra whereby you take the energies garnered in the chamber of the heart, the fruits of the Spirit and the fragrance of the Spirit, and allow these gifts of the chohans to mesh in Mater through the peaceful thrust and the all-commanding power of the fiats of the Word.

Speak boldly, plainly—slow or swiftly as you will. Speak in rhythm. Speak in love. Speak in fervor and with zeal. But come before the presence of the chohans prepared to voice the soundless sound and to direct atoms and molecules of being by the authority and the grace of the law.

Hence, as you develop the heart chakra and become a just steward of the heart, you must learn to release the resources of the Spirit through the spoken Word and to give decrees in time and space that are for the transmutation of that place into the dominion and the domain of the kingdom of God.

I am leading you gently yet firmly by the hand to that Promised Land where ascended masters yet walk and talk with unascended man. Come with me! Hold my hand!

To Those Who Would Become Just Stewards of the Heart:

To enter into the garden of the heart is to enter a chamber that exists in the mind of God which can come into being as the kingdom of God within you through meditation and through visualization. The Psalms were written as praises to the Lord whom David knew as he entered this chamber. And so I bid you enter also.

This chamber is the place where the planes of Mater are consecrated by the fires of the heart to the very point of perfection. Thus the Eastern devotee sees the earth transformed into jewel-like crystals.

Emeralds, diamonds, rubies compose the island in the midst of the nectar sea; and the essence of the Spirit Most Holy is the fragrance from flowering trees. You should also use your imagination to create this royal scene befitting your own Christ Self and your ascended-master guru.

That you might attain the Christ consciousness of the seven rays, I give to you the exercise of visualizing each of the seven chohans (lords) of the rays. And thus we will proceed step by step to expand the aura according to the masterful consciousness of these ascended-master gurus.

The eight petals of the secondary heart chamber symbolize the mastery of the seven rays through the flame of the Christ (called the threefold flame) and the integration of that mastery in the eighth ray.

In all precipitation it is well to be specific. Therefore, draw a specific outline in your mind of this bejeweled island suspended in a glistening sea.

Then see yourself walking from the shores of the sea through the tropical trees and vegetation to the center and highest promontory of the island. Tropical birds and flowers of delicate and brilliant colors make the scene more vivid.

And by and by you hear the songs of the birds as they sing the song celestial and key the soul to the frequencies of that plane where the ascending triangle of Mater meets the descending triangle of Spirit.

When you come to the center of your island in the sun, visualize specifically the platform and the throne that are consecrated for the image and the sacred presence of the master.

You may wish to examine historical works showing the most beautiful thrones that have been built for the kings and queens of this world. Select a design that is richly carved, gold leafed, and inlaid with precious and semiprecious stones, and visualize upon it a velvet cushion.

There will be a cushion for each of the colors of the seven rays upon which the chohans will sit on the seven days of the week and receive you in the name of the Christ.

As you contemplate the blue-skyey dome and this place prepared to receive the Lord, give the following invocation for the integration of your soul with the consciousness of the Christ and its perfect outpicturing in the hidden chamber of the heart:

Immortal soul-knowings!

As the presence of the Christ
Who inhabits the cosmos,
As the boundaries of thy habitation
Here in the planes of materialization
That reach like the rising and the falling
Of the waves of the sea calling

O just stewards of the heart, understand how your aura can be enflamed with the presence of your Lord.

And give this meditation as you renew your visualization of the chohans of the seven rays on the days of the week consecrated to those rays by the impartations of Helios and Vesta, Father-Mother Presence of Life in the heart of this solar system where you make your home.

Monday
Receive blessed Paul the Venetian and be tutored in the intuition and the mandates of love as he imparts creative fires and creativity of soul desire seated in the throne of the heart.

Tuesday
Let your Christ Self lead you to the altar where you kneel before Lord Morya El, where you commune in silent meditation with the will of the flame and imbibe the Personal Personality of the one who has consecrated his mind as the diamond shining mind of God. And as you look upon his face, you see the twinkle of mirth that is needed upon earth. You hear the strains of Panis Angelicus, and you know that your soul is fed the holy bread of angels. You drink the communion cup, and you vow obedience to the will of God.

Wednesday
As you contemplate the action of the emerald ray with joy and anticipation, you await the coming of Hilarion, who occupies the throne as the master philosopher, the master scientist. And from his forehead to your own, as the two of you are alone in Christ, there is a transfer of the divine gnosis; and the geometry of Mater integrating spirals of Spirit becomes clear.

Thursday
The queen of the chohans, the Lady Master Nada, who practices law before the bar of heaven, comes to portray the law of justice and the noble way of ministration and service. In her aura is the music of those blessed words “Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” And in the presence of the lady chohan, you perceive the wonder of the feminine ray in the mastery of the seven rays. All is clear: You live to serve forevermore—forevermore in the service of the Lord.

Friday
Hail Serapis Bey, Lord of Ascension’s Flame. Marching to the sound of victory, of trumpets sounding the sound of your natal day, of the soul’s rebirth—being born anew first in Mater and then in the glorious array of the ascension flame—you are born into Spirit for eternity.

Saturday
On the sabbath of the seventh ray, you greet the Master of the Aquarian age: “Saint Germain, friend of old, I am honored at thy presence here! So may I know the cosmic honor flame that is entwined with strands of gold and violet as elementals weave a garland of praise to the Knight Commander of my heart.” And you tarry before the alchemist of the Spirit who has come to teach you the science of the amethyst ray and the ritual of grace that will be the law for the next two thousand years.

Seekers of a Joyous Heart,

In those landed areas of the earth where the four seasons flourish, the miraculous advent of spring brings to the waking hearts of men a sense of the renewal of life. But to those of us who are privileged to see from inner levels through the veil of manifestation, the wonder is increased.

Man presupposes, in his limited frame of reference, that the programming that makes for perfect manifestation is inherent within substance itself. Little do men dream—that is, men who are wedded to material science—of the vast network of higher intelligences who function in magnificent consonance behind the screen of nature. But when they are apprised of the existence of the guardian spirits, they are able to have a greater appreciation of the so-called miracles of nature. Going beyond a mere acknowledgment of these higher intelligences, serving under the Divine Presence, they may enter into actual communion with the beings who are responsible for the riot of color and the tender expressions of abundance in verdant nature. Then they may learn to appreciate the science of nature which is even more exact than the scientists of this world dream.

Little children, uninhibited by form concepts and hard dogmatic lines, are able to commune with nature in a manner that beggars description. They could not, if they were asked, tell the feelings that they have within their hearts as they wander barefoot on a dew-kissed field, as they fling their hands toward the lacy clouds and with consummate abandon cast aside all care in the wondrous awareness of life everywhere. For life is God; it is the surge of his presence, his creative pre-essence, his all-penetrating love.

In the divinity schools where the knowledge of God is supposedly taught, the lines of dogma often give rise to conditions of argument between people who have been forbidden to have “other gods before me”;¹ yet sadly enough such argument creates, above all, the Moloch of the human self in its anti-God manifestation. There is no god that is a greater enemy of truth than the god of the personal person, which is typified in the story of Moses and Pharaoh who hardened his heart against the children of Israel and then softened it because of the fear which came upon him.²

Cast aside, then, this unwanted feeling—call it brittleness or fear, for they are the same—and enjoy the throbbing Presence of God in nature and Self. This Presence is your own, but it also belongs to all. You will find, in the surrender of the tiny self to the allness of God, a welling up of the feeling of universal brotherhood which is the hum of the universe: Om mani padme hum!³ The flowering of the spiritual lotus portends the opening of the soul who yearns to drink in God and his compassion. This compassion manifests through the child of love, the child of nature, who sees in all of this reckless, wild abandon the order and sincerity of universal intelligence prescribing itself according to divine decree.

Thou hast appointed the bounds of life—its limitations are created by thee. Nature is the servant of God and the servant of man. Nature is kindred to all that is lovely. And nature, when cherished and honored, produces all that is grand and noble. Nature unchained functions unnaturally in her raw estate. When the human will would bind her to the thralldom of the senses and have her believe the lie that God is dead, that life is simply a struggle between relative states of imperfection tumbling toward some semblance of social order, Nature rebels. By contrast, the boundlessness of the will of God and the great onrush of perfection with all of its buoyancy has that restraint of the Gods of Nature that was beautifully inspired by the Most High to stimulate order and perfection in all things.

Therefore this year and every year, open the pores of the mind to the Godhead, to the stimulus of universal beauty, and to the acceptance of respons­ibility in whatever walk of life you have chosen. It cannot be that nature would ever become insensitive to the dicta of the universal Christ; and when the master said, “Peace” to the raging elements, “be still!”⁴ it was the assertion of the Divine Presence within the Christ that spoke.

It was the universal Presence that said, “Be still, and know that I AM God.”⁵ There is no desecration here; man, made in the divine image and restored to his divine image and likeness, can assert that divine dominion which was his original conferment: Take dominion over the earth and subdue it.⁶ Here we see the simplicity of order. Man, made a little lower than the angels, is crowned with more glory and honor;⁷ and the universal potential—which God has locked within every cell and atom of man’s physical, emotional, mental, and memory identity—harks back to the moment in creation when all beauty and perfection in divine procession went forth to do God’s will.

I AM Amaryllis, the Goddess of Spring, a cohort of universal order and a representative of the cosmic hierarchy. Those who are not familiar with me as a person must understand that God intends to make each monad, each person, familiar to all persons.⁸ For when the universal perfection of God is served as heaven designed it, each person is found to be the indispensable manifestation that has locked within its cellular identity the mystery of the cosmic Circle of Life.

Every part of life blends with every other part, and the heaven of God possesses that magnificent outreach that excludes none but includes all. Those powers and forces that have allied themselves with the dark, they but contrast the power of the light to free man for immortality. In the messages of the flowers and the trees, men see aspiration reaching toward heaven; they see beauty flourish everywhere in glorious fulfillment. Why, then, should any man cast aside his divine birthright for sensuous living and the senseless struggle between egos—for criticism, gossip, human filth, and degradation—when the great continents of the air await the coming of the Higher Mind? For the mind of Christ communed of old with nature, and in his oneness with nature did he receive the power to control nature.

Modern man and modern mystic, as they once again draw nigh unto God, will find the power of God drawing nigh unto them;⁹ for the Holy Spirit will regenerate within them that unity which will enable them to feel and to be the harmonizing power of the natural order of all things. Nature herself cannot bear to deny a proper response to such as these. Therefore in taking Christ-dominion, in basking in the flame of the resurrection, in ascending in consciousness to folds of natural immortality, men obtain a release of the dominant power of God into their worlds.

“Go, and do thou likewise.”¹⁰ Create a heavenly mind and fulfill the destiny of the saints and sages of all ages. Unity with God is unity with nature.

Mark Prophet ascended on February 26, 1973 and is known as the ascended master Lanello.

Behold! I AM Everywhere in the Consciousness of God!

Mark Prophet opened the door to heaven for us all. That’s how we know what we know about the Brotherhood and the path of the ascension. This is the meaning of the thread of contact.

He held it for us and never let go of it until he could place it in our hands and trust us to not let go. This is the meaning of hierarchy and the lineage of all who go before and after us. This thread is fragile and so is the grasp upon it.

“Behold! I AM everywhere in the consciousness of God!” That’s the mantra of Lanello. And one day you can wake up and be there—not in the afterlife but right here and now, forever there and ever here. You can live in two worlds at once—in God’s consciousness and yet fulfilling your physical responsibilities on earth.

This mantra is, was and ever shall be the communion of the saints that transcends all octaves and time and space, worlds without end: “Behold! I AM everywhere in the consciousness of God!”

Mark’s Hope: Contact Your Higher Self

Mark’s hope for us was and is that our souls will rise in a burst of joy and creativity through the discovery that we can truly contact the Mind of God through the Christ Self and the sacred fire raised to the crown chakra. His hope for us is that the Mind of God in us will be the open door to eternity and to the fulfillment of the spirals of our Causal Bodies here on earth.

Why Mark Prophet Ascended

One of the key reasons that Mark took his ascension was to see to it that the children of the light upon earth might traverse the dark abyss of the astral plane and arrive at their proper position, either in the etheric plane or in the octaves of light.

He wanted to collect all of us together. And the only way he could do it was to be everywhere in the consciousness of God. And so he took his leave of us and ascended.

Mother gave us a message of hope after Mark’s ascension. She said, “I know that through the sacred heart of Jesus and the immaculate heart of Mother Mary, Mark, as Lanello, has a direct tie to every soul of light on earth. I know that you can pull upon his mantle at any hour of the day or night and speak to him. Tell him of a need, personal or planetary, and he will answer that need to the fullest extent that the Great Law will allow.

“And I know that he is as fiercely dedicated to liberating each one of you here today and all who shall ever read these words as he was and is to liberating my soul unto the final victory of the ascension.

“For those of you who are beginning to understand the meaning of the fusion of heaven and earth through the Presence of Lanello, know that you have a Guru that you can hug. Know that you can hold on to that mantle and that you can tug. Know that you can talk to him, whether about the most mundane and simple things or about the most complex laws of the universe.

“He could explain the stars and he could point out all of the plots and ploys of the fallen ones designed to make us indulge our human consciousness and to detract us from the path of life.”

Mark Prophet Loved People

Lanello is a man who always loved life and loved people. There is nothing that would have delighted him more than to have remained in embodiment for two- or five-hundred years going all over the planet, loving people and talking to them. He just loved to talk to people and never ceased to be interested in people of all sorts.

Mark used to travel across the country. And wherever he would go—a café, a drug store, a gas station—he would stop and talk to the working people. He loved the working people. Mark Prophet is the guru of the little people, the farmers, the laboring classes all over America—as well as everybody else’s guru.

And so for him, to ascend was the ultimate sacrifice so that we could arrive at this point to serve in our mission. Mark worked hard and he worked long. He loved enough to master himself. Self-mastery is the key to adeptship. And Mark certainly demonstrated this.

Lanello, our Ever-Present Guru

And now as the Ascended Master Lanello, he still holds this love for us all. You may contact the magnanimous heart of Lanello, our Ever-Present Guru, through playing the melody “Greensleeves.” The keynote of his identity is contained within the notes of this musical rendition.

Those of us who knew Mark have formed the habit of writing letters to Lanello, telling him of our wants and desires, our burdens, our hopes and wishes. We place these short notes either in our copy of Climb the Highest Mountain or in the Bible and leave them for Lanello to fill. And do you know, he answers almost all our ordinate desires—those that are in accordance with the will of God.

The answer is not always instantaneous, but it is fun to look back over our lists after a period of time and see how many have been answered. Perhaps you would like to join us in this exercise. It is not too late!

In Lanello we have our model for victory. He is our living Guru. Always remember that he is saying to you and to me, “You, too, can make it if you TRY! You can make it in this very life!”

Saint Germain has told us, “Death is either the doorway to infinity or a point of reentry whereby man must eventually return to the finite to undo and redo and to finish that which he has left undone.”

For Mark Prophet, death and hell were swallowed up in Christ’s victory. Truly, Mark lived and died and ascended for his principles and his loves, which were God’s. He exchanged the body terrestrial for the body celestial (1Cor. 15:40) that we all might live. We have come to know one who walked among us, who knew God and who became one with his everlasting consciousness. He bids us do the same. He takes our hand. He shows us the way.

And yet, Mark traveled a long and hard road in this embodiment to find his way. It was not easy. He began a long, personal search, with many experiences and great disappointments in searching for God.

He found that the religions of the world, and even the alternative movements, were not always what he thought they should be. But he kept right on searching. And somewhere along the line, the Ascended Master El Morya made his appearance. We have all heard, “When the pupil is ready, the Teacher appears.”

Mark Relates some of his Experiences and Philosophy:

“I was laughed at, called insane—even by people on the spiritual path. What kept me going in my search for God was the fact that I knew that God was real, and I had absolute faith that somehow or other he would show me the path that would enable me to do the work which I came to earth to do.

“For I believe that every life is a mission, and I think that each of you has a specific God-mission to perform in this world. I do not believe, however, that every mission is the same; each one is needed to complement the other. Therefore, we have to recognize that Western man has a job to do. And the time is short!

“There are hungry hearts out here in the world who are waiting for the message. You can do a lot as a divine missionary for God. But you must study until you know what you are talking about. A partial truth is as dangerous as error itself.”

Mark often told us that he could not have made it on the Path without the overshadowing, care, compassion and wisdom of Mother Mary.

Many times he was bowed down not only by planetary karma but also by the weight of personal karma. He would emerge from all of this time and time again through the intercession of the Divine Mother. And now we have access to the intercession of Lanello, who is offering to help us over the rough places, as Mother Mary did for him.

In his book Cosmic Consciousness, Lanello said, “Even now I am merging the attainment of my Christ consciousness with your own Holy Christ Self that my consciousness, merging with that of your own Higher Mind, might provide the bridge whereby this mortal might put on immortality, this corruptible might put on incorruption.” (1Cor. 15:53)

Claim the Mantle

We are left now, with the heart and message of America’s twentieth-century Prophet and his mantle for any and all who will claim it.

So, as we pray to receive the mantle of Mark’s magnanimous heart, let us again remember Longfellow’s words:

Lives of great men all remind us
We can make our lives sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us
Footprints on the sands of time.

Mark, as the Ascended Master Lanello, now bids us follow in the footsteps he has so clearly left behind.

And he is saying to each of us, as he said to his twin flame, “May you win all the way!”

Ascended Lady Master Nada’s Way of Love

Lady Master Nada has given us important insights on why it can be hard to get beyond the pain.

She says: “The true path of Love is one that does bring the greatest challenges; for pain on the path of Love is many times unbearable.”

She says this pain sometimes goes back to our original separation from our twin flame—the soul who is our divine counterpart, our “other half.”

In 1989 Nada said:

“I come to set you back on course that you might begin at the beginning and remember your vows before the altar of the Great Central Sun, shared between twin flames. You vowed to go forth and forevermore to be one.

“But when the Path became painful you sometimes accepted lesser loves as comfort, as salve for the wounded ego. And therefore, in so self-indulging, you lost the touch of the fingertips of the beloved and could not find them again no matter how you groped in the dark of the surrounding karma that did come with nightfall.

“Do you understand, beloved, that the greatest lesson your soul can learn is that Love is the All, Love is the Goal?—and to stop a moment and know just how great is the love of your Father-Mother God for you?

“Most have come to the place of insensitivity to that Love or a sense that they are not worthy of love. And by an absence of self-worth they tune it out…. It is the tuning out of those things that are so precious and so beautiful, because one deems oneself unclean, unready….

“Do not fear to experience pain. Allow yourself to experience it, to neutralize it perhaps with the exercise of the sacred fire breath, but not to escape it.”

The sacred fire breath lady master Nada is referring to is Djwal Kul’s breathing exercise, which he gives in The Human Aura book.

Let Go and Move On

If we open to these past experiences, with the help of the Masters we can let go of them and move on.

And what a shout of hallelujah we may give when we realize that we can get past these burdens and negative experiences.

Of course, there are times when your spiritual work must be accompanied by work with a trained psychologist who can help you sort out the issues and complications that may have resulted from these experiences.

Nevertheless, if we trust in God we can make tremendous progress through these teachings of the Masters.

Master Morya and Sponsor of Tibet

The Ascended Master El Morya has been the sponsor of the Tibetan people and their culture for many centuries. Many years ago Master Morya told Elizabeth Clare Prophet that the situation in Tibet was desperate. As the Ascended Lady Master Nada Rayborn said,

“So many souls who have engaged in enormous travail for the cause of Light have lost their lives under the weight of planetary karma.

“As you know, your beloved El Morya is burdened by the plight of the Tibetans. So many have been slaughtered and abused, and the Tibetan culture of thousands of years is being destroyed before your very eyes.

“Great devotees of light have had to go through the pain of death only to return again, some because of their karma and some solely because of atrocities committed against them, which aborted their missions. Many of these are ready to be born again, and they yearn to be in a place of protection in the United States, even in this very Community. We look to the future and to generations unborn. We look to you as God-parents who will bring in souls who one day shall champion the cause of the Brotherhood.

“That day may not be far hence, for the desire of our Father-Mother God is to accelerate the light, to hasten the days and to shorten them for the elect’s sake.”

The violet flame is a forgiving flame.

Forgiveness is not always easy, but without forgiveness we cannot make spiritual progress.

When we refuse to forgive a friend or a supposed enemy who has wronged us, even if he wrongs us again and again, we tie ourselves not only to that person but to his anger. Therefore, we are not truly free until we resolve the anger and balance the karma.

We all remember something we don’t think we will ever be able to let go of a cruel remark, a beating, even a disappointment, someone who wasn’t there for us when we needed help.

Every wrong you have done to others and every grudge that you hold for the wrongs that have been done to you separates you from God. Forgiveness is the next step on the path to reunion with your I AM Presence. When you forgive, you reestablish your oneness with your Christ Self. You also free yourself from self-limiting concepts and bondage to others.

Teresa’s Story of Forgiveness with the Violet Flame

A woman named Teresa experienced how decrees for forgiveness could bring remarkable changes in her life and in the lives of those she forgave. One day she began a daily routine of forgiveness decrees. Soon acquaintances began calling to apologize for what they had done twenty years before. Her sister called to tell her that she had finally been able to forgive an old wrong. And the benefit landed even closer to home—with Teresa’s ex-husband and children.

It had been seven years since Teresa’s divorce, but she still felt bitterness and resentment that she knew were hurting herself, her ex-husband and their children.

“I started working on completely forgiving more and more each day,” she said, “releasing the resentments and the pain.” The results were immediate. The more decrees I gave, invoking the violet flame and forgiveness, the more joyful my life became.

Her decrees seemed to affect her ex-husband too. He asked his children to forgive him for not being there when they were younger. He told them he had made statements about Teresa that were untrue and he apologized for the pain he had caused them. This is truly a miracle of unprecedented proportions, Teresa said.

So one woman’s forgiveness was able to heal an entire family and also bring her to a point of happiness. Truly, you are the greatest beneficiary of your own forgiveness.

When you forgive, don’t forget to forgive yourself. Sometimes this is the hardest task of all.

Use a Violet Flame Decree with Visualization

The following decree can help you to forgive and let go.

Before you give the forgiveness decree, say a simple prayer like: I send forgiveness to all whom I have ever wronged and to all who have ever wronged me. Then begin the decree.

Think of the incident that you have always felt you could never get over. Allow yourself to feel the anger welling up inside of you.

Now see a deep-pink flame of love enveloping that anger. Then see it mixing with the violet flame that already surrounds you. Visualize the violet flame transmuting that anger. Then see the flame of forgiveness, deep pink, violet and purple, expanding in your heart and whirling.

See it becoming spheres of light that go forth from your heart. Watch these spheres sprout wings, or filaments of energy, and fly from your heart toward the hearts of those you need to forgive.

Each time you give the decree, repeat this visualization. See the spheres going farther and farther from you. Send them to everyone you can think of.

If it is yourself that you need to forgive, see the sphere of violet energy bursting like fireworks over the memory of everything you wish you hadn’t done. See the violet energy erasing and dissolving all your thoughts and feelings that are tied up in those actions. Put all your blame, your shame and your sense of guilt into the violet fire.

Forgiveness Decree

I send forgiveness to all whom I have ever wronged and to all who have ever wronged me.

Forgive Often

It’s a good idea to do the decree for forgiveness at least once every twenty-four hours. You will find that the memories of negative events will lose their emotional charge as the energy that went into them is liberated. The more recent negative events will begin to recede from your mind as they are transmuted. Then events from the past will begin to come to the fore. These events will, in turn, recede as they are transmuted, leaving you free to go forward with your life.

Now let the light go forth—the untrammeled light! Let it descend in the clear air of purified consciousness and of hearts moved by the Word to come closer to the heart of Jesus Christ.

In this hour of the rebirth, there is the opening wide of a door of opportunity to come to the Saviour’s heart and to feel your heart infilled with light, as the light incomparable of our Alpha is his Christmas gift to hearts around the world who will reach up and out unto the Father through the Son and know that he liveth and that our God is the consuming fire of an eternal Christ Mass celebrated every day of your life, dear heart, even within your heart.

How well does your mother and your own Christ Self remember the hour of the quickening—remember the hour and the moment when life is known within the womb and the hour when the breath of the Holy Ghost is inbreathed and the temple of the living Word does become the temple of the Holy Spirit! How can God the Father or the holy angels forget thy birth, O living Saviour!

O living Saviour of the world, O Christ of every one, know that thou art come and that I, Pallas Athena, celebrate the mission of holy Truth through the incarnate Word! I come to collect unto myself souls of light, that I might hold you in my arms as a mother of Truth and infuse you once again with the holy light of thy birth.

The hour of the unwritten page is the hour of thy birth. Despair not of those scrawlings of pen that thou hast made upon the opportunities of life. This is an hour when the Keeper of the Scrolls will take the misused papyrus of life and roll it and put it to the torch. It is an hour of new birth.

Let the holiness of the holy night of the Christ Mass in this year of celebration of the birth of Christ and of his messenger—let it be. And let it be celebrated as the moment in Truth of your own new birth, a fresh start in life.

Think of it, beloved hearts—no need to wish to be reborn in another life or circumstance, no need to wish for another chance to start all over again. For this is the dispensation, this is the proclamation that I read. For I stand in the Great Hall of the Lords of Karma and I do read the record of Truth, the divine plan of Almighty God, and certain teachings of Truth that may be revealed time-upon-time as the great law allows.^*

First, then, let us open with this splendid opportunity to be once again at the point of initiation and origination of life, and there, at that point, to recognize that the descent is in the full, waking consciousness of the mature and the ripened soul who descends with the fiat: Lo, I AM come to do thy will, O God!

You need not roll back experience gained. You need only to know that in the hour of thy birth, thou art the fullness of the living Christ. Therefore, nothing lost. All in readiness. All ready to proceed. It is a Christmas proclamation of the new birth, it is a report of the Lords of Karma, and it expresses the concern of Alpha that all of his sons might understand their positioning to hold the line of light.

The perpetual prayer of the righteous will avail much, but the prayer must be given and given as a continuing stream—a river of light, a river of love, a flowing river, a moving river! This is the message of the Virgin of Guadalupe. This word Guadalupe refers to the flowing river of light—the descending light of the I AM Presence and the ascending light of the ascension flame.

The Virgin Guadalupe came, then, to proclaim the proclamation of the virgin birth of every son of God, of the divine sponsorship of the Mother of all peoples of the earth, and the dispensation of the Aquarian age of the individual path of the ascension through the river of light flowing—flowing perpetually out of the Mother’s heart of love. Tenderly, tenderly come the saints of God.

Our eye is upon the Inner Retreat and its potential and possibility as a focus of light and a place where many may come together to form the magnet for the entire planetary body.

Prepare, then, once again to step forth in the hour of the Christ Mass to work the works of God while there is light in this oncoming year of new challenge, new victory!

Mark Prophet was born on Christmas Eve 1918 in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.

Annice Booth shares the magic and mystery of a friendship and student/teacher relationship with the man who was a twentieth-century prophet. She shows us that Mark was a man of mysticism, miracles and tremendous spiritual mastery, yet he was still profoundly human. He was always the friend of the common man because he recognized God’s divine spark in all whom he met.

In an era when the world decries its lack of true leaders and heroic role models, one of the greatest was right in our midst—Mark L. Prophet. As is often the case, he was not recognized by the many for being the great soul, which, in reality, he was.

He said, “Ours must be a message of infinite love and we must demonstrate that love to the world.” That was Mark Prophet.

“All of life is God. All of being is God. All of consciousness is God.” Not only was this his philosophy but he also lived that love every day in his personal life. We see him as altogether human, as we all are, and yet all the while he fulfilled his divine potential.

I think the most important aspect of Mark’s message to us is that love, God’s love, is victorious. It is meant to be, and if we claim it, then it will be. And love is what this world needs most today.

Mark Prophet was one of the greatest examples of that love that I can ever hope to see. And I am grateful for the opportunity to have lived and worked with him for seven years in Colorado Springs at our world headquarters known as La Tourelle and in Santa Barbara at the Motherhouse. I was given an opportunity daily to see and benefit from his love in action.

Mark was indeed a holy man for the people. He did not hide away in a cave in the Himalayas and pray and meditate (although he did have the attainment to do so). He came forth into the midst of the people, sponsored by the Ascended Masters El Morya and Saint Germain. He loved to mingle and chat with everyone he met.

There could be no question about the fact that Mark was a devotee, and yet he was firmly grounded on earth. El Morya once remarked that “your spirituality is expressed by your practicality.” Mark was a very practical man who had a tender concern and loving care for every person on his staff and, in fact, for everyone he met.

I have often thought that Will Rogers’ observation “I never met a man I didn’t like” applied equally well to Mark Prophet. He would show his concern for others on an everyday practical level and yet be able to inspire them to seek a higher level of spiritual attainment.

Mark was a master psychologist. He could read the heart and soul of a man and always seemed able to give that person a very balanced, down-to-earth message that was just exactly what that soul needed at the moment.

I soon realized that no matter how much I loved and respected Mark as a person, I also saw that he was a great adept and that a part of him was always close to heaven. In later chapters I shall relate some examples of his contact with the ascended masters^* and his own God Presence.

Mark Prophet was a messenger of God, sponsored by the Great White Brotherhood to set forth the teachings of the ascended masters for the Aquarian age. He said that it was his assignment to found a movement that would encompass the entire world, or at least lay the foundation for that expansion so thoroughly in his lifetime that the mission could be fulfilled in the next few years by his twin flame, Elizabeth.

In a previous embodiment he was the author of the Gospel of Mark in the New Testament. And he was also sent in this age by the ascended masters to proclaim the climax of the two-thousand-year mission of Jesus Christ in the Piscean age. In addition, his assignment was to bring the message of Jesus’ second coming in the hearts of lightbearers.

When I lived back at La Tourelle in Colorado Springs, the headquarters of The Summit Lighthouse that Mark founded, I don’t think many of the staff recognized the great adept with whom we were living. Some saw him as a human man and criticized him for his human frailties and failings. I don’t believe they realized the great powers and spiritual attainment Mark possessed until it was too late and he had ascended.

Mark said that the masters had forbidden him to use phenomena (i.e., supernatural powers) in this lifetime, and because of this some people were blind to the true significance and attainment of his lifestream and mission. El Morya said that the founders of the Theosophical Movement in the late nineteenth century had performed feats of phenomena in their attempts to make known to the world the reality of the inner planes. That experiment failed to produce the receptivity that the masters had desired. Many people were caught up in the glamour and outer manifestations that they saw and failed to see the true inner meaning of the teachings.

I have often thought that if Mark Prophet had been presented to the world as an Indian guru in a robe and turban, that many more would have been attracted to the movement. However, that was not the masters’ plan for Mark’s mission this time around.

Mark Prophet and his Guru, El Morya, were so closely identified that I could never separate the two of them and discern which of them was speaking at the moment. I soon stopped even trying. Morya lived in Mark’s aura.

One of my earliest recollections of conversations with Mark that illustrate this point occurred when we had just returned from our trip to Europe in 1968. I was not even on the staff of The Summit Lighthouse at that time but had been granted a few glimpses of the adept that Mark really was on the European tour.

I remember that I said, “Mark, I have just finished reading in Saint Germain‘s early books from the I AM Activity [Unveiled Mysteries, The Magic Presence, and The “I AM” Discourses] that any of us who sincerely apply ourselves can make our ascension either in this lifetime or the next.” And I said, “But what puzzles me is, if we all need to have your attainment before we can ascend, how are any of us are going to make it?”

He answered, “Well, Mrs. Booth, I want you to know that ‘all things are relative except the Absolute.’” While I was pondering that for a moment, he added, “Now, you remember that the master wants you to know that.”

I was in a state of total shock to realize that the Ascended Master El Morya had actually given me a message. That sentence was an excellent summation of Mark’s philosophy: God is your Absolute, and everything else is relative.

One of the most important benefits of the teaching I received from Mark, as I think back over the many conversations I have had with him, were just these isolated instances of short sentences that remain in my consciousness even today.

Another little sentence that I shall always remember was spoken at a time in 1969 when we were repairing our new focus in Santa Barbara and preparing it for eventual use as the Ascended Masters’ Motherhouse.

The building was in a sad state of disrepair and neglect, and the best and fastest way to prepare it for painting was a thorough sandblasting operation.

I had been serving back at La Tourelle, helping prepare the final manuscript of Climb the Highest Mountain for publication while a crew of four men remained in Santa Barbara to work on the reconstruction of the Motherhouse.

One time Mark, Elizabeth, a few staff members and I drove out to Santa Barbara to see how the repairs were progressing. I was absolutely horror-struck when I entered my house on the property for the first time in several months and found a two-inch-thick layer of sand dust covering the entire place, both inside and out.

When Mark saw my dismay, he said, “Mrs. Booth, this was necessary in order to have a truly beautiful ascended master focus. And the master wants you to know that ‘a man cannot be perfection until he sees perfection.’” Apparently my sense of perfection at that moment was not as clear as Mark’s and Morya’s.

The name “Mark” means “Mother of the Ark,” and, indeed, Mark did mother all life. He nurtured every soul he met in order that that soul might rise up and be one step higher on the Path. The Ascended Master Kuthumi paid him a tribute in a Pearl of Wisdom^® dictated after his ascension: “They sing of Mark, whom they call the Mother of the Ark, for he nourished the flame of the ark of the covenant and drew therefrom the eternal message of salvation to God’s chosen people.”

One of the things I remember most about Mark was his childlike humility and compassion. He was no respecter of persons—a humble man who truly loved life and yet he would not stand for anyone’s human nonsense, no matter who they were. He was completely uninhibited, spontaneously speaking whatever was in his heart at the moment. You never knew what was going to happen next or what he was going to say.

We read: “Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.” (Matt. 18:3) Well, Mark Prophet was certainly one of Jesus’ little children. He had this childlike quality of adoration, of absolute dedication to the will of God, of absolute obedience to the ascended masters. He was childlike but certainly not childish. There is a world of difference.

Mark was never afraid or ashamed to allow the Holy Spirit to express through him at any time or in any situation. It was often those of us who were with him who were embarrassed, not Mark. There are many anecdotes in his life that I would love to share with you about his unexpected actions, and perhaps I shall in succeeding chapters.

I’ve never experienced so much love in any one individual—love for both God and man. It just radiated out from him in every way—in his prayers and invocations, his sermons and talks, the dictations that the ascended masters delivered through him in poetry and song, in his cares and concerns for practical living, in business decisions and in just plain loving life and loving people, including, of course, his beloved twin flame, Elizabeth.

Along with the love he had for the masters, he also truly and deeply loved the so-called ordinary and common folk, or as the Bible says, “the meek and lowly.” I think one of the reasons he loved jokes and anecdotes was that, like Jesus’ parables, anyone could understand them. His sermons and lectures were replete with these. He was drawing from memories of his former lives as Aesop, the teller of fables, and the poet Longfellow.

Mark had the distinct ability to deflate the pomposity and overstuffiness of the outer self. He would never let you miss the great seriousness of life and its true initiations, but neither would he allow you to take yourself too seriously. For instance, at any moment he could suddenly burst out singing the theme song from the radio show of Little Orphan Annie, including Sandy’s dog bark at the end, or start wrestling with you, or suddenly leap up into the air, slap you on the back, pull a laughing bag out of a drawer, tell a joke or recite some nonsensical line of verse such as:

The Chevy is my auto;
I shall not want another.
It leadeth me beside the repair shop.
It vexeth my soul.
I anoint its tires with patches.
Its radiator runneth over.
Its rods and pistons annoy me.
It has a breakdown in the presence of mine enemies.
And if this thing shall follow me all the days of my life,
I shall dwell in the bughouse forever.

For those of you who did not know Mark Prophet in person, as a contrast to the previous “nonsensical lines of verse,” he also wrote beautiful prayers and decrees that were a sublime poetry evoking the presence of God.

Mark Prophet was a twentieth-century master, interpreting for us the Lord’s mysteries while at the same time, remaining strongly tethered to this physical plane. He would teach us that we, as well as he, are both human and divine. As he wrote when he was Longfellow:

Lives of great men all remind us
We can make our lives sublime
And, departing, leave behind us
Footprints on the sands of time.
—A Psalm of Life, Stanza 7

Then one day, February 26, 1973, Mark took his leave of us. He told Elizabeth when he married her that he would not be here very long and that one day Saint Germain would transfer to her the mantle of messenger.

And so, after twelve years, he personally demonstrated what he had been teaching. He accelerated his consciousness into the light of the ascension. He lived in the modern-day world, as we do. He faced the same problems we face daily. He overcame his limitations and, by his great love, ascended back to the heart of God—victor over time and space.

Mark is a wonderful example to all of us and a wise counselor on the path of initiation. We are grateful for the depth of his communion with the Lord’s hosts, for the love and wisdom of his heart and for the disciplines of life without which no one can be victorious on the Path, as he was.

He now stands with us as the Ascended Master Lanello, the Ever-Present Guru. He is saying to you and to me that we can make it in this very life—if we TRY!

The Blessed Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ has appeared to humble hearts countless times in this century. Mary has consistently warned that dangers and even great calamities lie ahead for mankind. But her messages are not without hope. She has always told her children how they could atone for the sins of the world and thereby mitigate or avert her prophecies.

We believe that the dire prophecies of the Mother of Mercy can and will be mitigated by her love. With deepest gratitude for her tender yet powerful intercession on behalf of all of God’s children, we present to her and to the world a musical mass for world peace. We dedicate our mass to Sanctissima—the Most Holy One—the Queen of Heaven.

In 1961 Mary appeared to Elizabeth Clare Prophet in Boston as a resplendent being of light—as the Divine Mother, Sister and Friend. She opened her understanding of the role of the Divine Mother in this age and called her to Her service. In 1972 Mary gave Mrs. Prophet the New Age Rosary with the version of the Hail Mary you hear sung and spoken on this album. Mary told her that God did not want his children to say “Pray for us, sinners,” but “Pray for us, sons and daughters of God”; and not “now and at the hour of our death,” but “now and at the hour of our victory over sin, disease and death.”

Mrs. Prophet has brought thousands of non-Catholics to the feet of the Blessed Mother. They now accept Mary as the Divine Mediatrix of the age, as Healer, Teacher and Queen of the Angels.

In 1974 Mrs. Prophet responded to the call from Jesus to found Church Universal and Triumphant and dedicate it to the cause of world service through prayer, sacrifice, penance and good works. At Church headquarters in Park County, Montana, devotees form a spiritual community where persistent prayer, fasting and service are the foundation of their lives. Families and individual seekers follow the traditions of the early Christians and the monastic orders of the East.

In response to the urgent messages of Fátima and Medjugorje and Mary’s many appearances, Mrs. Prophet called the choir, the musicians and their recording engineers to mount a sacrificial effort to create an entire album of devotional songs to the Queen of Heaven. Church members wrote the words and/or music for eleven of the nineteen songs on this album. The others are Catholic hymns and old-time favorites.

Each recording session was preceded by an invocation offered by the conductor to the Blessed Mother and by the Fátima prayers. Choir members often remained in a state of prayer throughout the day and many had transcendent experiences while singing. Out of sixty-two choir members, less than ten are trained vocalists. The rest of the sound you hear is pure devotion!

It is the gift of Catholics, Protestants, Jews, Moslems, Hindus and Buddhists who stepped out of the sandals of their orthodox traditions to make their voices one for the beloved Mother of all. We hope that this album will be the means of many hearts lifting up their voices to God through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin and that it may be acceptable in God’s sight for the mitigation of her prophecies of world war and natural disaster.

It is our fervent prayer that our musical mass will be a vehicle for people of all faiths to lift up their voices in gratitude to the Blessed Mother of our Lord. May this offering to her Immaculate Heart be accepted at the altar of every church where the name of her Son is sanctified.

As Mary is all-powerful, she can appear either in the form of a meek peasant girl or of a celestial being. We have chosen to depict her on our album cover as the Cosmic Virgin. Thus we affirm her power over the earth and all the forces of evil that would destroy it. In light of her prophecies and her personal devotion to earth’s billions of people, Catholic and non-Catholic, we believe that it is fitting to portray her in all her glory and power as she comes to earth in its hour of greatest need.

Who is Lanello?

Mark L. Prophet, December 24, 1918 – February 26, 1973, was an annointed messenger of the Great White Brotherhood. Mark Prophet founded The Summit Lighthouse in 1958 under the direction of the Ascended Master El Morya.  He and his wife Elizabeth Clare Prophet, were pioneers of modern spirituality. Mark ascended in 1973 from Colorado Springs, Colorado.

In the days when Augustus Caesar was master of many kings and Herod reigned in Jerusalem, there lived in the city of Ecbatana, among the mountains of Persia, a certain man named Artaban, the Median. His house stood close to the outermost of the seven walls which encircled the royal treasury. From his roof he could look over the rising battlements of black and white and crimson and blue and red and silver and gold, to the hill where the summer palace of the Parthian emperors glittered like a jewel in a sevenfold crown.

Around the dwelling of Artaban spread a fair garden, a tangle of flowers and fruit-trees, watered by a score of streams descending from the slopes of Mount Orontes, and made musical by innumerable birds. But all colour was lost in the soft and odorous darkness of the late September night, and all sounds were hushed in the deep charm of its silence, save the plashing of the water, like a voice half sobbing and half laughing under the shadows. High above the trees a dim glow of light shone through the curtained arches of the upper chamber, where the master of the house was holding council with his friends.

He stood by the doorway to greet his guests—a tall, dark man of about forty years, with brilliant eyes set near together under his broad brow, and firm lines graven around his fine, thin lips; the brow of a dreamer and the mouth of a soldier, a man of sensitive feeling but inflexible will—one of those who, in whatever age they may live, are born for inward conflict and a life of quest.

His robe was of pure white wool, thrown over a tunic of silk; and a white, pointed cap, with long lapels at the sides, rested on his flowing black hair. It was the dress of the ancient priesthood of the Magi, called the fire-worshippers.

“Welcome!” he said, in his low, pleasant voice, as one after another entered the room—”welcome, Abdus; peace be with you, Rhodaspes and Tigranes, and with you my father, Abgarus. You are all welcome, and this house grows bright with the joy of your presence.”

There were nine of the men, differing widely in age, but alike in the richness of their dress of many-coloured silks, and in the massive golden collars around their necks, marking them as Parthian nobles, and in the winged circles of gold resting upon their breasts, the sign of the followers of Zoroaster.

They took their places around a small black altar at the end of the room, where a tiny flame was burning. Artaban, standing beside it, and waving a barsom of thin tamarisk branches above the fire, fed it with dry sticks of pine and fragrant oils. Then he began the ancient chant of the Yasna, and the voices of his companions joined in the beautiful hymn to Ahura-Mazda:

We worship the Spirit Divine,
all wisdom and goodness possessing,
Surrounded by Holy Immortals,
the givers of bounty and blessing.
We joy in the works of His hands,
His truth and His power confessing.

We praise all the things that are pure,
for these are His only Creation;
The thoughts that are true, and the words
and deeds that have won approbation;
These are supported by Him,
and for these we make adoration.

Hear us, O Mazda! Thou livest
in truth and in heavenly gladness;
Cleanse us from falsehood, and keep us
from evil and bondage to badness;
Pour out the light and the joy of Thy life
on our darkness and sadness.

Shine on our gardens and fields,
Shine on our working and weaving;
Shine on the whole race of man,
Believing and unbelieving;
Shine on us now through the night,
Shine on us now in Thy might,
The flame of our holy love
and the song of our worship receiving.

The fire rose with the chant, throbbing as if it were made of musical flame, until it cast a bright illumination through the whole apartment, revealing its simplicity and splendour.

The floor was laid with tiles of dark blue veined with white; pilasters of twisted silver stood out against the blue walls; the clearstory of round-arched windows above them was hung with azure silk; the vaulted ceiling was a pavement of sapphires, like the body of heaven in its clearness, sown with silver stars. From the four corners of the roof hung four golden magic-wheels, called the tongues of the gods. At the eastern end, behind the altar, there were two dark-red pillars of porphyry; above them a lintel of the same stone, on which was carved the figure of a winged archer, with his arrow set to the string and his bow drawn.

The doorway between the pillars, which opened upon the terrace of the roof, was covered with a heavy curtain of the colour of a ripe pomegranate, embroidered with innumerable golden rays shooting upward from the floor. In effect the room was like a quiet, starry night, all azure and silver, flushed in the East with rosy promise of the dawn. It was, as the house of a man should be, an expression of the character and spirit of the master.

Saint John of the Cross was a sixteenth-century mystic who taught that the goal of the spiritual life is union with God, and that the soul must be emptied of self in order to be filled with God.

He describes how, in the ascent to perfection, the soul passes through the mystical experiences of the dark night of the soul and the dark night of the Spirit in his works The Ascent of Mount Carmel, and The Dark Night.

The Living Flame of Love

The Living Flame of Love, also by Saint John of the Cross, is a powerful poem spoken by a rare spirit inwardly transformed by the fire of divine love.

Though only four stazas, this sublime and compelling message illumines our passage through the labyrinth of personal karma and prepares us for the Divine Encounter.

1. Oh, living flame of love
That tenderly woundest my soul in its deepest centre,
Since thou art no longer oppressive, perfect me now if it be thy will,
Break the web of this sweet encounter.

2. Oh, sweet burn! Oh, delectable wound!
Oh, soft hand! Oh, delicate touch
That savours of eternal life and pays every debt!
In slaying, thou hast changed death into life.

3. Oh, lamps of fire,
In whose splendours the deep caverns of sense
Which were dark and blind with strange brightness
Give heat and light together to their Beloved!

4. How gently and lovingly thou awakenest in my bosom,
Where thou dwellest secretly and alone!
And in thy sweet breathing, full of blessing and glory,
How delicately thou inspirest my love!

Elizabeth Clare Prophet at Summit University

At Summit University, Elizabeth Clare Prophet presented an in-depth study of the Living Flame of Love and other selected works by Saint John of the Cross, including teachings on the soul’s mystical experience in Christ through the initiation of the dark night leading to the alchemical marriage.

Born on November 23, 1542 in Sind, he ruled wisely for fifty years, exercising a tolerance and an enlightenment astounding in one descended from the line of Tamerlane and Genghis Khan.

Distinctly apart from his ancestors, Akbar has been described by a leading historian as “one of the few successful examples of Plato’s philosopher-king.”

A Portuguese priest described him as being of “a stature and of a type of countenance well-fitted to his royal dignity so that one could easily recognise even at the first glance, that he is the King…. His forehead is broad and open, his eyes so bright and flashing that they seem like a sea shimmering in the sunlight…. His expression is tranquil, serene and open, full also of dignity, and when he is angry, of awful majesty.”

Akbar’s genius was apparent in military, religious, and social affairs as well as in his ability to rule once he had established his empire—a quality lacking in his forebears. Instead of crushing the conquered Hindus, he brought them into positions of government; he even took Hindu princesses as wives.

He abolished the practice of enslaving prisoners of war and of prejudicial acts against Hindus and set up an efficient and fair system of administration, tax collection, and justice.

This friend of the common people bade them come to him as a father with their grievances. “He was pleased to accept their presents, taking them into his hands and holding them to his breast (which he never did with the rich gifts brought to him by his nobles),” an observer wrote.

All of this Akbar did because he believed he was the divinely appointed ruler of all the peoples of his realm and that he must deal with them equitably, regardless of their religion or race. Thus he is known as the father of religious tolerance in India and his legacy persists to this day.

However, to bring to his people peace and prosperity was not enough: Akbar would bring them to a higher spirituality. According to court historian Abul Fazl, Akbar’s entire life was a search after the Truth. He looked upon the performance of his duties as an act of divine worship.

The Mogul ruler was tolerant of all religions, for he saw the insufficiencies of Islam. Thus, Portuguese priests who came to convert him to Christianity were well received. After discoursing with them for hours, he commissioned a Persian translation of the Gospels. He showed reverence toward the images of Jesus, his Mother and the holy twelve, and when he was presented with the sacred Scriptures, he placed them upon his head as a sign of respect.

But it was never his to fully embrace Christianity, for Akbar could not reconcile himself to the doctrine of the divinity of Christ apart from the divinity inherent in every son of the Solar Flame. But he did see Christ Truth behind Christianity. As a matter of fact, Akbar saw God in all religions and wanted the best of God, hence the best of religion for his people.

But Akbar saw that it was impossible to rule the country well while adhering strictly to Muslim principles. For example, an orthodox interpretation of the Koran required Mohammedan supremacy over unbelievers, but Akbar saw that tolerance was the need of the hour—the basis of brotherly love essential to society’s cohesion.

After deep meditation upon the will of God, he decided to unify the country’s religious life. Accordingly, he took upon himself a seven-year study of the world’s religions, meditating “on the various aspects of their teachings, customs, and ceremonies, and their effect on the life and thought of their respective followers,” whereupon he concluded that all of them contained limitations, prejudice, and superstition.

His solution was to call a council of the learned of all faiths to establish a universal religion for which he sought to gain their support. He began by pointing out that the Hindus, Muslims, Zoroastrians, Jews and Christians are all different, and all think their religion best, and that if an infidel will not be converted, they declare him their enemy.

After addressing the shortcomings of each belief system, the wise one proposed that they should decide which was the best religion. Predictably, each pundit in turn pointed out the flaws in all sects save his own. In their pride of person each “attacked and endeavoured to refute the statements of their antagonists,” losing sight, in their blind spots, on the universal theme of adoration of the pure Person of the Godhead.

At the end of this debate, Akbar stood up and said that since it had now become obvious that there were flaws in every religion, “we ought, therefore, to bring them all into one, but in such fashion that they should be both ‘one’ and ‘all,’ with the great advantage of not losing what is good in any one religion, while gaining whatever is better in another. In that way, honour would be rendered to God, peace would be given to the people, and security to the empire.”

Whereas they could not agree, Akbar presented his synthesis of Truth: He called his new religion Din-i-Ilahi, “divine faith,” or Tauhid-i-Ilahi, “divine monotheism.”

In assembling the tenets, Akbar had “seized upon whatever was good in any religion,” comments Abul Fazl. “He is truly a man who makes Justice his leader in the path of inquiry, and who culls from every sect whatever Reason approves of. Perchance in this way that lock whose key has been lost may be opened.

But as for his doctrine-bound subjects, Akbar’s innovation placed his person too close to the divinity—too close for comfort. Members of Din-i-Ilahi would greet one another with the words “Allahu Akbar,” meaning “God is great,” and the reply was “Jalla Jalaluhu,” meaning “resplendent is his splendor.” But Allahu Akbar could also mean “Akbar is God,” and the response would then apply to Akbar himself. This was insupportable! He had opened the door for his people and bidden them enter, but they would not.

It was not the emperor’s way to force adherence to his new religion, consequently few joined it. Opposed from many quarters, most forcibly by his Muslim brothers, Akbar found himself at the center of a circle of devotees at court who accepted him as their spiritual as well as political guru.

Although the nation basked in the glory of his reign, after his passing the empire declined. The Light of Akbar was no longer the Light of India, for neither his sons nor his followers nor his people had captured the spark of God’s will that burned in the heart of their leader.

In the embodiments of El Morya we see the soul of a great devotee of God weaving in and out of the paths of East and West. And we take special note that in each of his incarnations he is perfecting the diamond of the will of God within his soul—through God-government, through the vision of community that he wrote about in his Utopia as Thomas More, through his supreme devotion to the will of God in his incarnations as Thomas à Becket and Thomas More.

Even attending the birth of Christ in his embodiment as Melchior was the fulfillment of his longing to serve that will.

Since his ascension in about 1898 as a Rajput prince known as El Morya Khan, El Morya has worked tirelessly with Saint Germain in the cause of world and individual freedom. To that end he has given many dictations and many lectures on the true teachings of the Christ and what they mean for us in this age.

For Thanksgiving 2012, we are sharing this Pearl of Wisdom^® from our Beloved Jesus Christ, Thanksgiving – Comfort Ye My People! – an ascended master dictation through the Messenger Elizabeth Clare Prophet.

I, Jesus, Prophesy the Certain Day of Your Victory

My rod and my scepter I place in the earth upon this hallowed ground made sacred by the fervent hearts of all who have gone before you, beloved, in a path of immersion in Christ.

Lo! I AM come and I walk the earth in search of the Lightbearer, in search of the one who will not be content until he does bear the All, the allness of the Light, not content with half a cup or lesser measure, not content to leave room in that cup for the vacuum of emptiness.

Beloved, earth is hallowed by the feet of those who see the goal of Christhood and do not shirk their responsibility to pursue it. Love not the world, then, for the love of the world begets retention of the not-self. If there is no longer love for the finite condition, for the body of death that is mortal, then none of those things that can be added to it as adornment will have any pull or tug upon thy soul.

To be content in the Light is peace, and it is the peace which passeth the understanding of the world but is the full understanding of the Keeper of the Flame. Therefore, beloved, those who give their lives to the Cause of Freedom and can do so fully, joyously, contentedly, are those in whom the Flame of Comfort burns. The Comfort Flame is the Flame of the Holy Spirit.

Comfort ye my people, then, with enlightenment, with the watch, with the warning. Comfort ye my people with the clap, with the thunder and with the rejoicing that God does descend into the temple of Light and raise the Light and increase the Light.

If you have nothing in the Day of His Appearing, then wherefore shall he multiply thy light? Yet there is no condition of nothingness in the human spirit, for there is that something of the not-self that does occupy when you yourself do not occupy until I AM come within you as the I AM THAT I AM.

Verily, verily, I say unto you that my rod and my scepter in this seat of government shall be a rod that is a rallying point for those who love the laws of God and His will codified in human governments and human institutions. My rod shall be the point of judgment, a repellent unto the seed of the wicked, and it shall blind them on occasion until they are not able to see the way in which to carry out their wickedness.

Therefore, so raise up your own rod, beloved. Let the rod be this sacred fire blazing upon the altar of your being—yourself being a rod by the quickening power of Alpha and Omega which I gladly convey to you according to your portion.

Have you a magnet of the heart? So know that in this instant I open my heart and you receive from me, your Jesus, that which you are able to magnetize by a light that you have so cherished beyond all else, that in this moment of my coming your reward is with you and my reward is my joy that some have understood the Call and have responded with the Call.*

The Call of heaven one with the Call of earth, meeting at the point of the Universal Christ and His Mediatorship, does give much to the hosts of Light in vanquishing the forces of Darkness.

Until you did call to Michael the Archangel this day there was surely the upheaval of the forces of Darkness who did not desire to have spoken by the power of my mantle the message of the ultimate defeat of the dweller on the threshold within you and within planet earth.

I mark this place and I tell you, this has been the sounding of the death knell of the dark forces, and the fruition of that message spoken to you shall be by your word one with my own.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Who, pray tell? Not the dweller, not that counterfeit spirit, for you have seen it for what it is. Now you have but to slay it by the Word, by the Call to the Archangels and to stand steadfast as they do bind the Evil and release the Good.

How swift is the descent of God-Good within the temple of the one who not alone in word and vow but in staunchest deed has shown proof to the Almighty that he will stand and still stand, that he will stand and still stand, that he will stand and still stand!

I come to you, for you have arrived at the gate of my heart. So in your presence a statement is made. Therefore I say to you in the words of the Archangel through the prophet, Comfort ye, comfort ye, comfort ye my people!

Raise up your voices, O ye gates! Raise up your voices in praise and thanksgiving!

I bow to the Light of the heart of my beloved Saint Germain, my father, my friend, my prophet, my true brother. Therefore, in Saint Germain I am grateful in this hour for the saving of a nation unto their demonstration of the law of individual and universal Christhood.

May you have a place for me at this supper of Thanksgiving.

In 1959, the ascended master El Morya released a Pearls of Wisdom^® on the subject of Halloween:

Inasmuch as what could well be called almost medieval confusion and traditional hodgepodge (I use one of your own idioms here, for it easily conveys to you my thought) surrounds both the subject of the soul’s passing and Halloween, and further, as human attention seems drawn to the astral realm more than usual on Halloween, I am seeking to release mankind from all morbid states of consciousness so that the pure, uncontaminated will of God can flow through as Love’s gracious answer to relieve all human fear and discordant ideas in connection with these subjects, which have wrought so much chaos and unhappiness in human affairs through the centuries.

I am sure you will welcome my comments, which, although on a subject partially distasteful to both Master and chela, are wholly constructive, designed to give a clearer understanding and confer thereby a blessing of great comfort to the entire race of mankind, linked together as you are in a world of action and reaction to one another’s thoughts and conduct.

Now, the blessed evening respectively called by men All-Hallows’ Eve, All Souls’ Eve, or Halloween (also, All Holy Eve) has become anything but holy.

For besides human thrill-seeking, deliberate creation of fear, and fanciful speculation of a most bizarre character in many cases, men have filled their consciousness and world (including influences upon the children’s tender minds) with images of witches and hobgoblins of a most hideous type resembling nothing quite so realistically as the lower astral realm, into which quagmire the dregs of human thought are collected until transmuted by violet fire—certainly not a desirable consciousness for any unascended being, child, or adult.

I am requesting this Pearl be sent you a day or two early in order to enlist the services of as many of you as possible who desire to serve the spiritual needs of mankind and the causes championed by the Great White Lodge and the Darjeeling Council.

This All Holy Eve (October 31) and in every year to come until the appearance of true perfection manifests in connection with Halloween, I am sure you will lovingly decree, sing, pray, and invoke the presence of the angelic and ascended hosts, calling for the purification of the earth, its atmosphere, the fire element and water by the full power of the violet transmuting flame of freedom’s forgiving love to remove the causes and cores of all fear connected with Halloween each year and the passing of the soul from mortal form every day of the year.

Call too for the transmutation of all human discordant creations, all inharmonious artistic creations, all fantasy creations of a shadowed nature and for their instantaneous replacement by the wholesome vibratory action of our octave of Ascended Master light-substance!

Someday, then, the children of the world will go forth happily that holy evening in commemoration of the harvest season of all souls to honor God and the angelic hosts, wearing these far more lovely creations which are so well within the present artistic abilities and conceptions of mankind to create.

I hope some of you may present this idea in good taste to mankind, not necessarily as coming from us but perhaps from those of you who seem more tangible to them. This will give both the vested commercial interests and religious circles of influence opportunity through free will to clean up the unwholesome aspects of Halloween, thus cooperating with beloved Mother Mary, the blessed Master Saint Germain, and the ascended host to produce and sustain a very different artistic keynote for this occasion which will be in keeping with the golden-age and the teachings now made manifest.

Of particular interest: Lord Michael, the blessed Archangel, will serve the full 24-hour period on Halloween so that as the earth revolves, every land and its peoples will have the full protection which his radiation brings and which he so lovingly offers the unascended of mankind in answer to your sincere calls. You may be sure that his sword of blue flame will transmute all that the cosmic law will allow of the foolishly misqualified energy which mankind have long used in traditional error on this day. May it increase its enfolding, transmuting power as our legions of Light move forward to victory!

This instruction comes to you through the loving courtesy of the Ascended Masters’ Darjeeling, India, Council of God’s Will, of which all the ascended host are members.

My very own beloved Presence of God, I AM, in me, beloved Ascended Master Jesus Christ, beloved Mother Mary, Kuan Yin, Archangel Michael and all the Archangels; blessed Morya El, Saint Germain and Portia and all members of the angelic and ascended host: We most lovingly call forth in God’s name, I AM, the full power of the violet transmuting flame of forgiving love for the mankind of earth to remove the causes and cores of all human foolishness connected in any way with Halloween.

Transmute, transmute, transmute all into Light and the electronic God-power of the ascended host. Replace it all with the most lovely, inspirational, God-uplifting forms of angelic beauty that have ever graced this planet, and keep this action of the violet fire building in momentum until the last trace of human discord is changed into perfection!

What I call forth for my own world I call forth for all others, eternally sustained, all powerfully active, and world engulfing until all are ascended and free.

Ascended Lady Master Clara Louise

The ascended lady master Clara Louise was embodied as Clara Louise Kieninger (1883-1970).

Born in Junction City, Kansas, she spent a happy childhood in a large pioneer family. In 1912 she graduated from nursing school where she took her class motto, Ich Dien (I Serve), as the guiding principle of her life.

Clara Louise served devotedly in the field of nursing for many years and established the first school of nursing in Brazil, in preparation for her work with the children of the incoming seventh root race destined to embody in South America. Through the profession of nursing, she served the body of God on earth with the same honor and love she would accord the Christ. Her memoirs are published in the book Ich Dien.

In 1961 Saint Germain anointed Clara Louise as the first Mother of the Flame of the Keepers of the Flame Fraternity ^®. On April 9, 1966, when the mantle of the office of Mother of the Flame was passed to the messenger Elizabeth Clare Prophet, Clara Louise became the Regent Mother of the Flame. From the ascended level, she continues to hold the office of Regent Mother of the Flame, nurturing the souls of all the world’s children.

Clara Louise had a great heart of love. She was also a disciplinarian. In her later years, as a dedicated student and friend of the ascended masters, she kept a daily vigil of prayer beginning as early as three or four in the morning and continuing for two to four hours, even until noon. She prayed on behalf of the youth of the world, the incoming children, their parents and teachers.

The ascended lady master Thérèse of Lisieux spoke of Clara Louise and her prayers for the youth of the world:

Cherish the era of childhood and preserve that innocence through all the years of thy life. For the one whose ascension you celebrate this day, your own beloved Clara Louise, did keep that innocence and purity side by side with an astute and mature discipline and a very ready awareness of the plots and ploys of the fallen ones to tear from her the bridal veil in the very hour of her ascension.

On July 3, 1962, Mother Mary promised Clara Louise the fulfillment of her ascension at the close of her embodiment.

Clara Louise serves on the fourth ray of God’s purity, and her musical keynote is Calm As the Night. Her soul’s devotion to God is reflected in her prior embodiments. In the days of Lemuria, she served in the central temple as a priestess at the altar of the Divine Mother, and at the time of Jesus she was embodied as the apostle James. In her recent life, she often repeated to others the words of Jesus, “What is that to thee? follow thou me!” [Bible, John 21:22]

From the ascended state, Clara Louise told us,

I see so many among you for whom I did pray in this my final incarnation, and I would tell you that it is clear in the record that my prayers did make the difference in your entering the Path. I am grateful for this but I tell it to you so that you can understand that I who have been with you so very recently in this century was able to develop that prayer momentum, and therefore you can do the same. It simply takes a dedication of time and space and a determination that puts down every other voice seeking attention, every point of chaos or confusion or disruption.

Clara Louise practiced the science of the spoken Word for close to fifty years, and her calls and invocations were very powerful. She simply would not take no for an answer, a quality she learned from her embodiment as Jesus’ disciple. Just as Jesus cast out demons through the power of the spoken Word, so she knew that one has to be fierce with demons and the state of the human consciousness. Her fiats would travel across the planet as she gave her prayers and invocations, standing in defense of all children. The world also needs your intercession and prayers for the children and youth. You can give fiery calls to God as Clara Louise did.

Clara Louise Kieninger made her ascension at the age of 87, on October 25, 1970, joining her twin flame Amen Bey to serve with Serapis at the Ascension Temple at Luxor, Egypt. You can ask to be taken to this retreat to receive instruction for your path and what you are to accomplish in life.

Astrea and Purity speak of her ascension and of her service since that time:

If you have the resolution, if you have the balance of your threefold flame, you will see and know that in the hour of your passing you can make your ascension, as occurred in the case of the first Mother of the Flame, Clara Louise Kieninger. She did make her ascension from the place where she passed, Berkeley, California, and chose that place, beloved, that there might ever be anchored there that focus of the ascension flame for the youth of the world.

So, beloved, there are those such as the first Mother of the Flame, who, upon the hour of passing and the release of the last sacred breath, did enter into ascension coils, as is meet. And thus she appeared at the temple of Serapis Bey, met her twin flame there, Amen Bey, and has been serving the youth of the world ever since—not alone from Luxor but she does journey from retreat to retreat around the world. Many of these retreats you have never heard about, but you shall hear about them in due time.

Clara Louise Kieninger, then, does go to the retreats to teach those who tarry there who have lessons to learn, karma to balance. And she speaks also to the hierarchy of the retreat, imploring them to send reinforcements for the care of the youth of the world and especially the unborn and especially the dire situation of the sacrifice of children in the womb and at term. Blessed ones, this has been her cause for many, many, many years in embodiment and now in the octaves of light.

So with the coming of Saint Germain’s dispensation for the Aquarian age, we have the, the sponsorship of America; you have the sponsorship of Australia. And many freedom movements have come forth—his aura, his presence.

This Master—if you can really comprehend the meaning of the Master—is so profound and has such attainment, his aura fills the planet. And he does keep the action of freedom in every type of situation, be it education or science. As you know, he is the father of that science.

But the violet flame is the key to action.

We have a lot of people today who like to talk about things; even politics has become metaphysical. We are seized with our theories. We think we know the way things should be done. But they don’t stand the test of practical action. They don’t work.

The violet flame sees to it that we are charged with what works. What works is what is right as long its purpose is to glorify God in you and Christ in all people. So the violet flame is like that, that whistle that tremendous wind of the Holy Spirit that takes from us everything else but what is necessary to get this world in shape.

So I want to tell you from my personal experience, I know all of you have an intense desiring of your heart to do more for people, for life, to become more of who you are. And I know what that desiring is and I know you wouldn’t be here if you didn’t have it.

And the step, the giant step into the path of, really, the masterful presence of your Godhood, the giant step into the Great White Brotherhood, from the former to the new age, is the violet flame.

Like her late husband, Mark L. Prophet, her calling was to be a prophet of God, or one who delivers the Word of God. The word “prophet” comes from the Greek prophetes, literally “to speak for,” hence a messenger; a prophet is “one who utters divinely inspired revelations.”

In this role as a messenger, she communed with angels and masterful beings of light through the power of the Holy Spirit in the manner of the ancient prophets and apostles.

These messages contain the words of the heavenly host as dictations, as well as a transfer of light for soul quickening and initiation.

The Love of the Ascended Masters

Elizabeth Clare Prophet:

All the great ones who have come to earth have come because of their great love. They could not bear to leave their brothers and sisters without an understanding of the Path. So the ascended masters are the benevolent ones, the compassionate ones who remain with this planetary home to show us the way out.

Their communication has been very real to me for most of my life. I began feeling the presence of the ascended masters in childhood and in my teenage years, and finally I saw the master El Morya. He appeared to me when I was in college at Boston University.

Ascended Master El Morya

El Morya (who was embodied as Saint Thomas More) came to me in answer to my prayers of many years. I had told God that I wanted to be of service in communicating his teachings to his children. El Morya told me that I must be trained to be a messenger so that I could set forth the teachings.

I began my training under Mark Prophet, whom I later married, and in time I was able to receive directly the Teachings of the Ascended Masters, which we have set forth in many books and publications and on audio and video recordings. Essentially they provide the synthesis of the world’s religions that I knew as a child I had come to deliver.

This work is rewarding because it always leads the individual back to the Real Self, the Inner Self. And that is the point of beginning for our life’s work and fulfillment.

Ascended Master Dictation or Psychic Channeling?

Elizabeth Clare Prophet explains how a dictation by an ascended master through a sponsored messenger is different than psychic channeling:

I have been called a messenger by the masters who deliver their messages through me. The office of the messenger is something that comes by the gift of the Holy Spirit. So too is the gift of prophecy. It is a grace. It is an endowment. It is something that one achieves by walking with God until God calls one to speak to his people.

During a dictation my consciousness is accelerated, or elevated, so that it can mesh with the consciousness of the ascended master who is speaking through me. The sphere of my higher consciousness actually meshes with the sphere of consciousness of the ascended master. In that moment, there is the release of the Word. The master uses my voice as the instrument to bring forth his teaching.

Taking a dictation is a very real experience in the presence of the master. It is like being inside someone’s mind. The mind of the master is cogitating through my mind and he is speaking through my mouth. However, I am not in a trance, and I am in full awareness with my full faculties of the Christ mind.

Psychic channeling, which often comes forth in trance, comes through the subconscious mind. The individual is not in the presence of his own Christ mind, and his body is used by discarnates, disembodied spirits, to convey messages from the departed.

I don’t call myself a channeler because as far as I’m concerned channeling is just another word for spiritualism.

Seeking advice from departed spirits has been going on since the witch of Endor conjured up Samuel the prophet for King Saul–and a long time before. While Samuel was a high soul, you can never be sure what you’re going to get with channeling.

Now, this may have its place for those who desire it, but where I stand as a messenger for the ascended masters it is not permitted. I would lose the gift of the messengership and of prophecy were I to engage in any form of interaction with disembodied spirits.

The ascended masters require that their disciples–and I consider myself a disciple–always be in full command of their faculties when they are in communion with God and that they retain their own reason and judgment and self-discipline.

By contrast, the energy released by the God-free ascended beings who speak from the highest octaves of Light, one with the universal Mind, is stupendous. Taking a dictation is a very real experience in the presence of the master.

It is exhilarating. It charges and recharges the body, mind and spirit of each person in the congregation, clears the chakras and draws the soul nigh to her own inner God Reality.

Dictations are not self-fulfilling psychic predictions, nor are they centered on building up the personalities or the egos of those present. They are the Word of God delivered by fully integrated immortal beings who are counted among the hosts of the Lord.

These beings come to initiate us in the ancient mysteries of Christ and Buddha and the everlasting gospel for the new age of Aquarius. And they come to exhort us so that we will rise to the great God flame within ourselves and defeat the momentums of returning karma that are coming upon the age.

Saint Francis took his ascension and is known as the Ascended Master Kuthumi, also known as Koot Hoomi Lal Singh, or the Master K.H.

Mark Prophet talked about Saint Francis in his lecture, Eternal Christmas in July, and published in audio on the MP3 album Sermons for a Sabbath Evening Disc 3, and in print in the book, The Answer You’re Looking for Is Inside of You.

We can learn a lot about dependence on God from the life of Saint Francis. Before he dedicated himself to God, Francis lived a carefree and worldly life.

But when he became a true devotee of God, when something began to tug at his soul that changed him, there was no stone too heavy for him. He literally broke his body for God.

Francis gave everything to God and depended on God for everything. And in turn, God gave himself fully to Francis.

Let’s enter the world of Saint Francis for a moment so you can understand what I mean.

He was born in 1181 or 1182 in the town of Assisi in Italy. His father was a well-to-do cloth merchant. Francesco di Pietro di Bernardone, as Francis was called then, had a certain worldliness and zest for life that made him a favorite among the young men of Assisi.
When he was about 20, he fought in a war and was a prisoner of war for a year. Later he set out to join soldiers who were fighting in southern Italy but had a dream telling him to return home. Once he was back in his hometown, he found that he didn’t enjoy his old lifestyle of frolic and fun the way he used to. He turned more and more to prayer and contemplation.

One day he had an experience that changed forever the way he looked at the world around him. He met a leper, covered with sores. Just the sight of the man repulsed him. But instead of letting his aversion get the upper hand, he had a breakthrough. As he reached out to give the leper alms, Francis kissed him. From then on, Francis began to devote himself to serving the sick.

The next turning point in Francis’ life came as he was praying at the broken-down church of San Damiano outside Assisi. He heard a voice tell him, “Go, Francis, and repair my house, which as you see is falling into ruin.” Now, Christ was calling him to save the Church, but Francis took the command literally. He walked the streets of Assisi begging for money to fix the church.

Some of the townspeople made fun of Francis. They laughed at the sight of the once-wealthy young man now dressed in a shabby tunic begging for money. But Francis didn’t flinch an inch. He went on to rebuild the church of San Damiano as well as two other deserted chapels.

Francis awakened to his real mission when he heard a reading from the Book of Matthew during Mass one day. In the passage, Jesus was sending the apostles away to preach.

Jesus told them to take “no gold, nor silver, nor money” with them. At that moment, Francis realized that God was calling him to a life of poverty and preaching.

Even though he wasn’t a priest, Francis became an ardent evangelist. He wooed the people of Assisi to the love of Christ. Those who heard his homilies were drawn closer to God, for Francis had that unique ability to touch a place deep inside the heart.

Francis soon attracted disciples. He wrote a simple rule of life for them and asked the pope to approve it. The pope’s advisors warned him that the way of life Francis had outlined for his disciples was unsafe and impractical. But in a dream, the pope saw Francis holding up the Lateran basilica (the pope’s church in Rome), which looked as if it were ready to collapse. So the pope decided to approve Francis’ rule and gave him and his friars the commission to preach repentance.

A couple of years later, a young noblewoman of Assisi, Clare, begged Francis to allow her to become one of his followers. So Francis founded a second order for her and other women disciples, known as the order of the Poor Clares. He later established a third order, the Brothers and Sisters of Penance, for lay people who wanted to adopt the Franciscan way of life while living in the world.

Francis had a simple formula for saving mankind: the imitation of Christ and brotherly love. He taught his followers to obey the Gospel, to care for the suffering, to preach and to embrace poverty as their bride.

In the early days, he and his brothers helped lepers and others who suffered. They earned their food by working at a trade or at neighboring farms. If they had no work, they would beg for what they needed, but they would not accept money. In later years, Francis preached in central Italy and traveled to Egypt to try to convert the Saracens. He sent his friars in pairs to preach as far away as Spain, Germany and Hungary.

Well, the Franciscan orders grew rapidly. The men’s order numbered over five thousand in Francis’ own lifetime! This was a mixed blessing, though, because as the order grew bigger some Franciscans wanted to amend Francis’ strict but simple lifestyle. They argued that it wasn’t workable. But he always held firm to his original allegiance to Lady Poverty.

Among Francis’ most winning qualities were his sincerity and humility. Once, after he had been very sick, he started a sermon by saying, “Dearly beloved, I have to confess to God and you that during this Lent I have eaten cakes made with lard.” Francis paid special attention to the sick and poor. He would even stay with lepers and share meals with them from the same plate.

As you know, Saint Francis is often pictured surrounded by birds and other animals. That’s because the animals were his friends. He saw the presence of God in nature and therefore had a great love and respect for all creatures. All created things, he said, are our brothers and sisters because we all have the same Father.

Another endearing quality of Saint Francis was that he loved to sing praises to God—and he sang them in the common language of the people rather than in Latin. One time while he was visiting Clare and the community of nuns near the end of his life, he composed his famous “Canticle of Brother Sun,” which praised the Creator and his creation. And for a week he did nothing but sing it over and over again.

Two years before his death, Francis received the miracle of the stigmata–marks resembling the wounds of Jesus on his hands, feet and side. During the last two years of his life, he was almost totally blind and was in constant pain. He passed on at the age of forty-four or forty-five. Just two years later, the Church declared Francis to be a saint.

Saint Francis is one of the most beloved saints of all time. He celebrated life and swept everyone up in his simple, childlike nature. He was very human and very divine. His cheerfulness and love of life—the same qualities that had made him so popular as a young man in Assisi—were infectious.

Life with Francis was like celebrating Christmas every day, because for him every day was an occasion to imitate Christ and to develop a little more of the Christ consciousness.

I will say it again because it bears repeating: When we pause to consider Christmas in July, we ought to also consider the advent of the Christ consciousness as penetrating the whole substance of the year and being interwoven in the tapestry of the days. And Christmas ought to be an everyday affair, and we ought to sing of “peace on earth, goodwill toward men.”

Saint Thérèse of Lisieux was a nineteenth-century French Carmelite nun known as the Little Flower of Jesus. From her childhood she wanted to become a saint and to become perfected in God. Her deep desire to be constant to the will of God, to his wisdom and to his love led Thérèse to live a life of self-sacrifice and self-immolation and to put all of the strength of her heart’s love into drawing souls into the light of Jesus Christ.

She ascended at the conclusion of her brief life.

Thérèse was canonized on May 17, 1925, less than 28 years after her death. Many miracles have been attributed to her. In 1927 she was declared patroness of foreign missions and of all works for Russia.

Her feast day is October 1.

Thérèse Wasn’t Born a Saint

Sometimes we like to think of the saints as having been “born saints.” Thérèse’s life shows us that this is not so.

Thérèse is often remembered as being sweet, loving and obedient. Yet this did not come naturally to her. In fact, when Thérèse was a child, Mrs. Martin characterized her daughter as “unconquerably stubborn.”

Thérèse learned how to turn her stubbornness into an iron will. She described how she had a “great victory” in a “certain combat.”

She writes: “There is in the community a sister who has the faculty of displeasing me in everything, in her ways, her words, her character, everything seems very disagreeable to me. And still, she is a holy religious who must be very pleasing to God. Not wishing to give in to the natural antipathy I was experiencing, I told myself that charity must not consist in feelings but in works; then I set myself to doing for this Sister what I would do for the person I loved the most…. I wasn’t content simply with praying very much for this Sister who gave me so many struggles, but I took care to render her all the services possible, and when I was tempted to answer her back in a disagreeable manner, I was content with giving her my most friendly smile and with changing the subject of the conversation….Frequently, when…I had occasion to work with this Sister, I used to run away like a deserter whenever my struggles became too violent…. Never did she suspect the motives for my conduct, and she remained convinced that her character was very pleasing to me.”

Ascended Lady Master Thérèse of Lisieux

The ascended lady master Thérèse of Lisieux has given some insights into her experiences in the heaven-world:

“Following my ascension, I was accorded the grant to spend a portion of my heavens on earth. But for another portion, the Father did assign me to study under the three masters El Morya, Koot Hoomi [Kuthumi] and Djwal Kul.

These three wise men, adepts of the East who did come and tend the birth of the Lord Christ, therefore did tend with me the full flowering and birth of that Christ in my being multiplied many times over by their presence after my ascension.

“Therefore, through their hearts I did learn the mysteries of the East, the profundity of the message of the Buddha and his oneness with our Lord.

Thread upon thread, they did assist me in weaving and weaving again the fullness of the garment of light that does comprise the whole complement of the teaching of God to this age.

“Therefore, beloved, I had full opportunity to receive that instruction that did fill in for me all of those sacred mysteries that had not been revealed through the established Church. Therefore you understand that much teaching that is given to you in this hour I received at inner levels after my ascension.

The Way of Discipleship

“Therefore, beloved, I come to tell you that the way of discipleship can be seen by you as a thousand stairs upon a thousand-tiered golden spiral, and that step by step there is an orderly path of discipline.

These masters who have sponsored your messenger and this activity, who have supported Jesus in establishing through the messengers the true Church Universal and Triumphant on earth, have seen fit to also establish an ordered ritual, for they are fully aware what it takes to mount one of these steps.

Archetype of the Soul

“The figure of the nun burdened with the cancer in her body, concealing this from all others and occupying herself with the humble task of scrubbing the stairs of the enclave must be seen as archetypal of the soul who, bearing her karma, recognizes that she must clear the debris in each step of consciousness, scrubbing by the violet flame until that level of record and ideation is fully and wholly transmuted.

In the process, she may mount a single step. In past ages it would take a soul perhaps an entire lifetime to mount a single step, for the only purging of karma and record and self, as well as its outcropping in the body as disease, would be manifest through prayer and works of penance.

Gift of the Violet Flame

“Thus, beloved, to know ‘how great, how great thou art, O God, my Father, my Mother, how great is the gift of the violet flame!’ you must establish a co-measurement, a sense of realism that such a gift is also an experiment.

For it is a dispensation for which ascended beings of the seventh ray, not the least of whom being your beloved Saint Germain, have given this opportunity.

And after a certain lapse of cycles, they will give accounting before the Lords of Karma and the four and twenty elders who stand round the great white throne, and they shall determine whether a people have taken that flame and used it only to deliver themselves of their discomforts, or whether they have used it seriously for the path of initiation as an adjunct, as a mighty assistance to the soul’s entering in.

You are Watchmen of the Night

“You must therefore understand that you are watchmen of the night, keeping the watch in your time and in your place as many who have gone before you have kept that watch. In this dark night of the age of the Kali Yuga,* you bear violet-flame torches and torches of illumination with the beloved Mother Liberty. Therefore, beloved, understand that all holy orders have had their rituals and their disciplines and their rules.”

The birthday of Confucius is celebrated September 28.

Confucius has always been concerned with harmony and divine order within the family and within society as a whole.  He was born in 551 b.c. in China during a time of great turmoil and upheaval.  His father, an elderly soldier, died when he was three.

Confucius dedicated his life to teaching others how to bring order into their lives, their families and the empire. His vision has been described as a “social order in communion and collaboration with a cosmic order.”

Confucius—The Champion of Families

The Ascended Master Confucius has a profound understanding of family as the vital unit for building community and a new society in the Aquarian age.

He is the hierarch of the Royal Teton Retreat, which is congruent with the Grand Teton mountain in the Teton Range near Jackson Hole, Wyoming. This is the key retreat of illumination of the Great White Brotherhood in North America.

In this retreat, Confucius shows us how to take etheric patterns and use them in tangible ways to improve our everyday lives.  These patterns are like blueprints and they contain the keys to our self-reliance in God, to the ideals of the sacred family and to God-government.

We tie into the etheric patterns and precipitate into the etheric ideals into the physical through creations of beauty, harmony and order. This is why the flame of precipitation—Chinese green in color and tinged with gold—is enshrined at Confucius’ Royal Teton Retreat.

Confucius’ presence and the presence of his Causal Body in the United States has inspired the practical side of our culture. Let us see Confucius, then, as the architect of community building and the champion of families.

Confucius wants us to regard him as our loving and supportive grandfather. And, like a grandfather, he also desires to pass on his dreams to us that we might fulfill them in his name.  He longs to build a society on a foundation of love, wisdom and the will of God in the individual and in the family.

Confucius’ Formula for Family and Community

Confucius gave us this basic formula for family and community building twenty-five hundred years ago.  It is taken from the first chapter of the Great Learning, one of the four principal books of Confucian teaching.

Here is the formula in Confucius’ words.  It is a formula for enlightenment, for family and for the victory of each one of us.  So as you go about your daily lives, please hold this thoughtform in your hearts:

The ancients who wanted to manifest enlightened virtue in their empire first healed and brought order to their states.

Wanting to heal and bring order to their states, they first established equanimity in their families and made them whole.

Wanting to establish equanimity in their families and make them whole, they first cultivated themselves.

Wanting to cultivate themselves, they first got themselves in line and in tune with their hearts.

Wanting to be in line and in tune with their hearts, they first became honest with themselves and purified their motives.

Wanting to be honest with themselves and purify their motives, they first assimilated wisdom and put it into practice.

They assimilated wisdom and put it into practice by investigating and reflecting upon all phenomena and culling out what was true.

The Etheric Pattern of the Soul’s Immortality

In the very beginning, when our souls were completely bonded to the Universal Christ, we were clothed in the original etheric pattern in which we were made.  This was the etheric pattern of the soul’s immortality and freedom.  There are etheric patterns for our souls, our families and for our communities, and they exist in nature all around us.

We can call to Confucius and other ascended masters to reveal and reinforce these patterns so that they may be our empowerment and guiding force.

Confucius’ Vision

Confucius has said that many souls from ancient China have reembodied here in the United States. In 1976, he called them “the quiet Buddhic souls, the diligent ones” who have a spiritual mission to lay the foundation of the family in America and beyond.

He points out that they understand the importance of “the code of ethics, the gentleness, the sweetness and the desire for learning as the means to God-awareness.”

Furthermore, Confucius said, “They have come that their wisdom would be fired with freedom and that they might assist America” as she enters the twenty-first century. Their aim is to turn around a “false materialism” and to manifest instead “an etherealization, a spirituality,” and the mastery “of self, of society and of the energies of time and space.”

Perhaps you are one of these souls who has come from ancient China. So let us call to Confucius for his mantle and guidance, and let us pray that we may commune with him at his Royal Teton Retreat as we discover the true meaning of family.
